Everyone's favourite man mountain, Dwayne Johnson, is set to star in one of the summer's biggest blockbusters, Fast and Furious 6. Johnson came into the franchise in the last Fast Five after the original set up, street racing and cans of nos are now gone and in comes bank heisting and stealing millions. Johnson starred as Luke Hobbs, a elite bounty hunter and federal agent out to get Vin Diesel and his gang. Now set to work aside Diesel and his gang to capture Luke Evans' criminal boss Owen Shaw in the new installment, Fast and Furious 6. In an interview with Empire Magazine Johnson let in on the plot: "Basically, there's a new set of bad guys, which brings on a new set of issues. And they are causing a whole new lot of havoc. There is a great emotional thread which is connecting all the dots, which Hobbs is able to figure out. He goes to Dom and his crew. It was important to keep the same antagonistic energy. In that energy comes the spirit of: "I have a job. You have no choice but to take it. And here's why."

Johnson went on to discuss what he had to do to get in role: "Fast Five I had put on a good amount of weight. Muscle - not an ice-cream and cookies diet! So the goal for this one was to come in in great shape. I wanted to come in and frankly dominate the movie. That's my aim." The last installment made $626 million at the box office and the fifth sequel is likely to beat that. Fast and Furious 6 will be the last film in the franchise to be directed by Justin Lin, director of the last three films, who has left the directors chair for Saw director, James Wan. The jury is still out on whether Wan can take on a blockbuster of this magnitude, with massive action set pieces but until we can find that out, just enjoy Lin's last time in the driving seat. Fast and Furious 6 is released in cinemas today.
